| Purpose of this job:

To assist the
purchase manager in ensuring efficient and timely purchase of various types of
stone so that sales orders can be fulfilled in time.
|
|
| Major job responsibilities: |
| 1. |
Local and overseas purchase - against sales orders and for
stock.
|
| 2. |
Maintain a database of vendors
|
| 3. |
Order the product
|
| 4. |
Prepare purchase orders
|
| 5. |
Track purchase orders and keep the sales department informed
about their orders.
|
| 6. |
Inspect material on arrival
|
| 7. |
Update and maintain inventory lists
|
| 8. |
Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
|

| Required job experience: |
| 1. |
Minimum one year experience in purchase
in the stone or related industry
|
|
| Required Education and skills: |
| 1. |
High school diploma
|
| 2. |
Fair knowledge of stones and tiles
|
| 3. |
Good memory recall
|
| 4. |
Must be adept in the use of Microsoft
office, particularly Word, Excel and Access.Good Internet and email skills.
|
| 5. |
Good follow up ability
|
| 6. |
Must be self-driven, result oriented
and able to work independently. Honesty and dependability are important traits.

| Purpose of this job:
|
|
Responsible for the efficient functioning of the warehouse and
yard for storage of material, shipping and receiving material, and fabrication
of stone.
|
|
| Major job responsibilities: |
| 1. |
Shipping – loading trucks and containers for truck orders and
sales orders, complete daily shipping log
|
| 2. |
Receiving – receiving and unloading containers and trucks from
vendors, inspecting material and completing all relevant paperwork
|
| 3. |
Organization of material in the warehouse and yard; bin location
updates
|
| 4. |
Annual inventory of material
|
| 5. |
Help sales in display of samples to customers
|
| 6. |
Customer log in and log out – ensuring it is completed by
customers
|
| 7. |
Economical and efficient distribution of work to the workers
employed in the warehouse (completing a worksheet for each fabrication job)
|
| 8. |
Regular maintenance of all warehouse equipment, with relevant
paperwork
|
| 9. |
Recruit and train new employees
|
| 10. |
Motivate all employees in the warehouse
|
|
| Required job experience: |
| 1. |
Minimum 7 years experience working in a warehouse in construction, stone
industry or a warehouse with numerous types of material requiring careful
handling.
1 year managerial experience of leading at least 10 people
performing a variety of jobs.
|
|
| Required Education and skills: |
| 1. |
High School Diploma.
|
| 2. |
Knowledge of warehouse machinery, good
managerial good organization skills, good computer skills. Spanish language
ability is helpful.
|

| Required job experience: |
| 1. |
Should have
worked in construction, with stone – fabrication or installation – and
sales. Project supervision / coordination experience required.
